A recent Stanford University study compared the benefits of four different weight loss programs: Atkins, Zone, Ornish and Learn diets. What they found was that after 12 months the average weight loss with the Atkins diet in overweight and obese but otherwise healthy women was about 10 lbs. which was more than with any of the other diets.
